Function of Protein Water Tank in Fish Meal Processing Equipment
The protein water tank is a key storage vessel in the fish meal production line, used for temporary storage, buffering and stable delivery of protein water (fish liquor) separated by the press or centrifuge. Its core purposes are stabilizing production procedures, recovering protein, and ensuring continuous operation.
Main Functions

Collect and temporarily store protein water
Receive protein water separated from twin-screw press, three-phase separator and centrifuge, containing protein, a small amount of fish oil and fine bone residue. It acts as a buffer tank to balance flow fluctuation between front-end pressing and back-end concentration/drying, avoiding material overflow or production interruption.

Stabilize process pressure and flow
Equipped with screw pump and automatic liquid level control system, it provides constant-pressure and quantitative feeding to the subsequent evaporator and drying system, ensuring stable yield and protein quality of finished fish meal.

Primary sedimentation and impurity removal
Fine bone residue and sand sedimentate naturally in the tank; the bottom drain valve discharges impurities regularly, reducing abrasion and blockage of pumps, heat exchangers and evaporators.
